| SPECTATORS
Finishing a half marathon is more than a personal
achievement. It’s also a great testament to the support
team of every runner. Family and friends are encouraged to
cheer the participants from all sections of the Daytona Beach
Half Marathon course.
Spectators are welcome to watch the beginning
and end of the Daytona Beach Half Marathon at Daytona International
Speedway. There is no charge to enter the track. Please enter
the Speedway at Gate 40, located off of Williamson Drive,
and follow the signs to race-day parking. Viewing is available
trackside in the grassy area in the tri-oval. Spectators may
bring lawn chairs or stand along the finish line chute. Family
and friends are also welcome to attend the awards ceremony
in Gatorade Victory Lane at 10:00 a.m.
Driving directions are available by clicking

VOLUNTEERS
More than a hundred volunteers are needed to help make the Daytona Beach Half Marathon a great success in its inaugural year. Responsibilities include packet pick- up, water stops, pointers, chip collection and medals. Race officials are also looking for a few LOUD volunteers! We need you to help cheer on the runners in designated scream sections.
If you would like to volunteer for the half
marathon, please email Jonathan Mousseau at jmousseau@orlandosports.org
or call 407-648-4900 ext. 12.
VISITING
Daytona Beach is one of Florida’s premier destinations. With 23 miles of sparkling, white beaches, great weather, and variety of attractions, museums, eateries and more, it’s perfect for family vacations and running excursions alike.
Our community has hundreds of hotels, condominiums, cottages and Bed and Breakfast inns, so there’s something to fit your taste and budget.
The beaches are consistently named among Florida's best by the most knowledgeable professional 'beachologists' – as well as by Florida residents! In fact, Florida Monthly magazine readers regularly name our beaches as some of the state's best.
Be sure to bring your friends and family, and come in a couple of days prior to the race, to allow yourself plenty of time to explore the Daytona Beach area and all it has to offer. Between our festivals, art shows, concerts, races and other activities, there’s always a lot going on. For a schedule of activities, click here.
